I have my eyes on a 150 but not sure if I want to give my 1kz 120 away as a trade in.The sales person said that they would only be willing to give me around 17 grand for my old girl.

I would strip all of the goodise of that I can salvage although they would not be usable on the 150.

Is it worth the upgrade and loose such a great load of money.I could sell the 120 myself but the tyre cickers give me the U know what.

    Any thoughts,

I'm in exactly the same situation. My 1KZ has 150K on the clock, has given me no issues and I've got a bunch of accessories in it. We are in Adelaide currently and popped past a dealer and they are doing the $61,990 drive away price for the month of September. This one dealer has a manual, I've never seen on in a 150 and I'm very tempted. He wont discount, wants the same price...Unfortunately the downside the finance is crap, think its around 6%, didnt think I was going to get a 2.x% comparable rate at 61,990 :-)

    SO what to do....

Dealer in Alice never even got back to me on a tradein so they suck. I've probably only got $10K worth of customisation in the 1KZ, I could swap tyres, lights, fridge, radio, roof cage etc into the 150...

We only do offroad km's in the car being based in Alice, we only do around 6-10K per year in it so I dont think I wanna blow the $62K (then throw another $10K on accessories). I did ask about the troopcarrier but there are no discounts. I really want the D4D V8 and the better roof capacity, the 150 is only rated at 100KG on the roof, put a cage, tyre and 1 Jerrycan on the roof you are done !!!!

Good luck, the 150 is a nice car, cruises well but if you have your 120 decked out and its reliable, sit tight :-)

Big Trev, do what Pete the Sandman said. Sit tight. Roof rack won't fit (roof is a little wider on the 150, found out the hard way). CB can move, spotties can move but pretty much everything else you'll have go get new. In my 20,000km I've found round town economy is better, but open road is worse. and worse again heading to Barrow creek.
The 120 is a great bus. Hang on to it till you break it.
