My family loves the Prado, the back seat has more room than a Disco. and a Jeep. I am not a fan of leather/petrol/auto when it comes to an SUV/4x4, I had the Recaro bucket leather seat in my last car and it was comfy but hard to maintain (sticks to you when you're wearing shorts and singlet). Diesel is cheaper than premium unleaded and I get more Km's. My second full tank in my Prado, I drove for 1300+ kms (hwy/urban). All the car that I've owned so far was a manual and this is one of the reason why I bought a manual and it is cheaper to fix than an auto if any problem arises. Auto 4WD is easier to control during extreme off road. I get bored when I drive an auto. I love the feeling of changing gears when I am entering a hairpin, Prado has a lot of body role due to it's size. One of the best manuals 4x4 vehicles in the Automotive industry is a Toyota.
Purchasing a bull bar is so annoying, their's so many out there. By the end, I went for the ARB deluxe bar because it's well known. I would have gone for the AFN bar, but didn't want to go through the hasstle of purchasing one (colour coding/fitting/cost). At one stage I was disappointed of the ARB when they released a bar covering the tear drop shape light but I got over it because it actually suits the beast. Rustproofing through the dealership is overpriced, dangle the bucket loads of cash and ask them to chuck it in for free. Their are other companies out there with better products and a better price.
