    Hi Everyone

Been lurking here for a while now finally decided to join, lots of great info keep up the great work.

In the market for a secondhand 120 or 150 diesel up to 35k.
    Any thoughts pros or cons
Thinking the 150 being the newer car might be the way to go.
Keen to hear peoples thoughts though.

    Thanks in advance

      Thanks Zutta, yep your right.

narrowed it down to a :
      2007 -120 d4d diesel, full service history, Bull bar, privacy glass , 200 000klm, for 28k
or a 2010 - 150 d4d diesel, full service history, 160klm, timing belt replaced, injectors serviced, valve adjustment etc (no accessories)for 32k

      Any thoughts will be appreciated

my thoughts.....for 4k more you are getting a vehicle with less kms and 3 yrs newer

Having the injectors done in the 150 is a huge thing also,

With the 120 i was under the impression to avoid the 07 models ? unless it had meticulous service history and the injectors had been changed out ?

someone else might be able to add to the debate

Both cars have relatively high kms for their age, in my opinion.

I just brought a 2011 GX with 42,000 klms for $41,500 drive away and it still had 3 months of factory warranty remaining

I think the GX offers better value, if it was a GXL it would have cost about $52,000.

Geez the 150 has done some high klms......40k a year is a lot. Id rather a low klm 120 (not the one your referring to).....160k it will be due for injectors if not done (bet they havn't been)..... You could buy a low klm V6 petrol probably in a 150 for that..... Depends on wether you prefer diesel or petrol..(I know you said diesel)....If you intend doing a lot of klms then personally I would prefer to pick up a 120 with low klms. Not just the engine that's done the klms, transfer case, gearbox, diffs etc....Cheers Steve

                  Thanks for the advice guys

But low klm`s 120 or 150`s (not ex mining or rental) are still fetching a mint in my parts.

Ended up buying the 150, very happy so far.
                  Time will tell.
