  • 120 V6 petrol

I have a 2004 Grande auto which has been a great vehicle and want to keep it but it need a bit more power to tow a camper.

Any suggestions to on how to do this without breaking the bank.

    Hey,

No easy solutions for this unfortunately.

You can spend 10K on a supercharger and twin exhaust, but the reported power and torque gains are low and not worth the money.

Unfortunately those two states rarely go together.

        How much are you towing?

Why do you need the extra power?

Is there something wrong with yours perhaps. We tow a 16ft off road jayco expanda with ours and power is not an issue.

            Hey,

I should have also said I towed a fully loaded box trailer from Perth to Brisbane, and I never had any power issues, always plenty on tap.

Towing a 2500kg caravan might be a different story though!

It tows it ok, 1500kg Goldstream Camper but would just like a bit more, tends to labour uphill, we live in the mountains, thought a converter lock might help.

                It is a 2.1T V6, not a 900kg V10.
