Buy GXL or Altitude or wait for new upgrade later this year

I'm not in the market and I usually avoid the first run of new mechanicals but I think the 2.8 will be a better engine than the 3.0. Only time will tell but both are covered by the same warranty.

Yeah mate all up for the VX 83k including ARB Bullbar, roof rack, dual bats, mats and a few other bits and delivery from Perth and the pick up of my trade in.

Car without Accessories was around the 71k mark.

I was told there was no interior change to the new model so heres hoping!!

While it's toyota, I would never personally buy the first iteration of a new model of any car unless they've been proven elsewhere, not if I intended on keeping it past the warranty. Smaller engine, better economy, more power, better gearbox all look good on paper, and I don't know how you'd particularly go wrong (mind the pun) but I'd prefer the devil I knew - at a runout cost.

That said, it's a gamble. I sold my previous car ASAP because of km's but also because I knew the new facelift would decrease the value dramatically.

I had been holding out for the new ford everest, but went and had a look at a 2014 altitude and jumped on it. Not a fan of being a guinea pig for a new vehicle (ford or prado) for the prices they charge.

Same in WA. Spoke to a a dealership and they didn't have much info other than:

- new 2.8L engine
- new 6 speed gearbox
- new headlight design
- GXL gets Sat/Nav as standard
- new instrument cluster (he was not 100% on this)
- changes to the dash (he was not 100% on this)

well got 50% correct. according to

I think dealer was comparing to pre facelifted version of 150.
