Hi.
Im looking at buying a 2012 150 Prado GX ex rental from a dealer. Im looking for recommendations of a good diesel mechanic in the blacktown/castle hill area who knows the toyota 1KD well and will do a thorough pre-purchase inspection for me. Also if anyone knows particular things to look out for.
I have test driven two so far, one with slight feedback through steering wheel and noise on left hand turns, and the other with noticeable (but possibly acceptable) valve or injector noise inside the cabin coming from the font centre. I had that dealer check the injector feedback values and they are all under 0.9 with coolant at 65C and all under 0.4 when slightly warmer with coolant at 75C.
If anyone can help that would be much appreciated.
