    tiwana,
You got a good price considering the accessories included.
I'm sure "the walk in, drop a deposit, and walk out approach...and then pay the balance with a bank cheque"... works for some people...but its not they way some folk like to shop for a car, and its not the way some folk can shop for a car...especially if you are not sure what you want. Have no doubts, you did in fact get a good deal...and you may not have done any better on that car with those accessories...despite whatever purchasing technique was used...enjoy!

There are a lot of other factors such as state, special fleet discounts etc. I'd be happy with what you paid.

Yes Andy. I understand. Sad part is ... I could have easily done "no fluff" approach. But I didn't. First time I wanted Prado was Saturday morning. I did go to the dealer .. did take it out for a drive... more for the missus ... cause she needs to feel comfortable. Later that evening ... i bought it.
I discovered this site after I bought it - that is because I never knew I will buy a Prado. I could have done the no-fluff scenario but that comes only after one knows what a "good price" is. That intel i got when i got to be a "Lurker" here - after the Prado was bought.

    Good example here,
    Car $58,500
    Auto $1,500
    Bar $2,000
    Tow $1,000
And they threw in the tint, good price

    GXL Auto Diesel

    0.03km
    Peter Kittle, Alice Springs
$59800, less a small trade in (hard to get too much on a 300,000km, 6 year old 4x4, with a bit of panel damage and regulation 4x4 stripes. And a buggered transfer case)
March 2014 plate, purchased in May 2014
If it weren't for the transfer case, I would still be in the 120.

The "new" Prado has now covered 100,000km and has Bull bar, Lights, Radio, and a grumpy thing that holds the steering wheel.
That would be an awesome deal ( $59.8k ) for a gxl .. Even without the bull bars, lights and radio ... Did you get some sort of fleet discount?

The city dealers don't budge much in Melb on the price, especially the new model seems to be running out the door.

Send me the details Dave. I was going to go genuine Toyota tow bar but happy to look at alternatives.

That's what I paid in Perth with mats and full tank of juice. Got a Hayman Reese towbar installed afterwards for $700 from a mobile guy who I would recommend plus full tint a fair way past legal on all windows for $450 from memory. Again can happily recommend.
