I think the diesel is going to be the one. Now just have to find one that fits the bill. Will keep you updated with the progress

The ticking noise is a character trait of the V6. It sounds more obvious when driving along a road with a concrete wall on the side.

As AMTS said, the noise comes as a standard feature on the V6.

The noise you are talking about, does it sound somewhat like an exhaust leak? From some research I've done myself, it seems that it's actually the shape of the factory exhaust manifold that causes said noise.

If it really bothers you, I believe it can be fixed, or at least significantly reduced by fitting after markets extractors.

Sounds like you're pretty set on the diesel though, in which case you won't have to worry about it...!
