"Drive Away" price - best dealer?

In a bunch of different posts I'm seeing a bunch of different drive away prices for petrol and diesel - some are really good. The best I've got so far in North Qld is $57,988 (petrol, bullbar, towbar, metallic paint). This offer is not contingent on trade-in or finance - I can get a better deal on the buy price from a fleet buyer but their finance rates are OTT.

Has anyone sourced a particularly good drive away deal in the past couple of months on either petrol or diesel. Please tell me the dealer's name as I can buy anywhere in Qld or NSW.

Try scifleet brissie as they are the largest in qld. i reckon current price, 51990, bullbar 1500, towbar 500, mat paint 300, 1500 tax, 595 dealer delivery, should be able to get around $56-$56500.

Thanks guys - even though Townsville isn't the most competitive place in the land of Tojo you are confirming my opinion that there are no BIG discounts for Prados - even though some posters of this site would have us all think otherwise.

Crammy - I have spoken with Cairns (probably not your mate) and they are not as competitive as the TSV guy (I play golf with Mike Carney so I have access to the dealer principal down here).

It is a case of supply and demand and even the petrol models have supply issues I'm told.

What do you mean by that?
A lot of people on here have provided good info on pricing over the years, granted things do change as supply/demand changes

There are always good savings to be had if you do your homework
Out of curiosity, I just checked with my contact, the pricing I got for my VX a year ago in terms of price reduction is still there, 12k under list price......maybe things are different in FNQ

I paid $56,800 with Colourcoded ARB Winch bar, reverse sensors, bonnet and headlight protectors, spare colour-coded hard wheel cover, roof rails from Scifleet Kedron.

I got the best deal straight away with no mucking around.

I think that some people just don't know how to wheel and deal, with the wife's Rav4 we just stuck to what we wanted to pay, Toyota were trying to get us higher but we stuck to the price and about 30+ mins later we had what we wanted to pay. :lol:

Its like any thing that you purchase the person selling wants to get the highest price they can, and you want to get the lowest price. If you don't deal hard you will not get the lowest possible price.
