  • Selling my 120 - Pricing ideas ??

    Hi guys,
Looking at finally selling my 120 series Prado.
I'm trying to work out what price to offer it at.
    Any suggestions would be great.

Had it since new, late 2009 - silver.
    121,000 k's - just had major service.
It is in great condition, just had the outside fully detailed 6hrs worth), inside still to be done prior to sale.
It has everything, and comes with it all.

    Stainless exhaust (fitted last yr)
    Steinbauer chip
    ARB compressor
    Dual batts with Redarc controller
Electric brakes and anderson plug for camper
Pirelli scorpion AT's (optional STT's also available seperate)
    Alloy Tradesman roof rack
    ARB colour coded bull bar
    LED light bar
    Tmax 10000lb winch
    Overhead console with UHF
    Cargo barrier
    Fourby fitout drawer system
rubber floor mats (but also have original un-used carpet mats)
Kaymar rear wheel spacer with light mount and LED lights
    Brown Davis underbody guards
Ridepro coils with airbag rear (approx 40-50mm lift)
Custom Koni shocks all round (fitted early last yr)
Pioneer dvd system with headrest monitors for the kids
    Redarc 300w Inverter
    ARB rear locker
    Scan Gauge II monitor
Tinted windows (re-done 3 weeks ago thanks to light tint laws)
Probably a few other things...hard to remember them all.

So any ideas of a good selling price would be appreciated??

    Thanks
    Darren

    Very nice. Why sell?

You might get 35k? Worth more to some, less to others.

I second that probably about 35k. Try carsales they have a good little graph setup to show you where your pricing for your vehicle is in relation to all vehicles sold with similar spec etc. It only cost $69.

Injectors been done? If not they will need to be and I would take $3000 off that suggested price.

          Hey Darren,

          Here is the linear regression for 2009 diesel auto GXL Prados on carsales, 26 cars available;

The fit gives $36594.29 for 121,000km.

As OldGreyFart said, you'll need to knock off the price of new injectors if you haven't already done them.

Looks like diesels are holding their price nicely!

          Hope this helps out!

yes that is a hard question

i have been asking myself do i sell to get a 100 series
but every time i drive it i love it it again especially after getting all the paint & body sorted after the tyre blew

the hardest thing is when you add up all the extra's you've added and done
i came up with $30k in extra's !!!!! quickly hid that list from the other half

              Thanks for the feedback guys.
Thanks Whitey (Mark) for the graph research, much appreciated.
Injectors have been checked at last service, all good.
I was thinking above 38k - aim higher see what happens.
It is in excellent condition although it is hard to look at the cost of all the extras and justify it when selling.
Just need the right person that appreciates the extras looking for the right rig.

Be realistic and understand everyone lists on car sales "aiming high" but it doesn't mean thats what they sell for. Most times they drop there pants when they get desperate to sell. Mate of mine who is a wholesaler trolls through car sales to pick up units and a lot of times he gets them for 10k or more off what they are asking.

Just trying to keep it in perspective.

                Good luck
