    Our Prado was fully fuelled on pick-up from the dealership. We also made a point of reminding them just to make sure it was, just in case they tried to pull a swifty.

        I had been shopping around for quite awhile for a new Prado. I had all sorts of prices but in the end I bought a second hand 08 GXL T/D auto with only 6000ks on the clock. I packaged it up with an ARB colour coded deluxe bar, ARB front & rear lockers, OME suspension, BFG's all terrain tyres, Toyota towbar, GME UHF radio, Full set of mats and a full tank of fuel drive away for $59,000. It is being fited out as we speak and I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. There are bargains out there just have to track them down.

          Damn thats a good price, but for a total of 59K with all those goodies...... thats seems too cheap surely :shock: The goodies along are work 6K + arent they

            Geez 255 you really did do well there! 6000k is practically nothing! You'll end up with a fully kitted out rig for about the price of a new vehicle. Good work! You certainly did better than I did with my new one...... :?

              Had a look around new GXL's at Cessnock Toyota this week while waiting for 70K service and their price for GXL T/D manual was $53,999 drive away without any haggling so I think there are some deals to be had

                Mine was used, it's a Sept 2003 build with 50,000 on the clock and looks as new now the passenger door scratch is fixed.

                They wanted $39,990.00

                With my GST extemption, I got it for $32,000.00 half a tank of fuel and a free 3 year unlimited k's warranty (I don't pay stamp duty either) :lol:
                October 2003 build GLX Prado Diesel. Nudge Bar, window tinting, fitted sheepskin seatcovers, bonnet protector, cargo barrier, sandgrabba mats and empty pockets.

                  Sounds like now is the time to be Prado shopping. I got mine back in Feb this year, shopped around and the best I could get was $59k drive away from Cessnock for a TD GXL auto with towbar, mats, light covers etc. It was also the only one I could find in a car yard ready to go, as they were scarce as then.
                  2008 GXL D4D, over bumper bar, Uniden UHF/scanner, GPS, plenty of kids, babe in passenger seat..

                    I think as the economic downturn starts to bite Toyota might need to sweeten it's deals a little more. Already I'm hearing the finance reports on the news and radio say that there is a clear decrease in consumer spending and many more people saying they plan not to spend anything until things look up. It's debatable just how much prices might come down or how much more Toyota will put into the deals, especially as the last price increase wasn't all that long ago. If car sales really drop off though, things could get very interesting.

                      Well, my original thread was locked.. Ill add it to this thread since it is still going..


                      Basic story is this, a chap went around to 6 dealers for the best price on a LC 70 series and was quoted about 7K from RRP. Not feeling it was the best price possible, he tried a different method and asked them to "beat this". It seems he was able to negotiate a 13K savings in totalof RRP, plus 180L of diesel???

                      I know Ive been looking for a good second hand d4d gxl but none that Im happy with (price included).
                      Went into the dealer the other day and toyo finance gave me a quote for a fully maintained lease on a purchase price of $53.5K.
                      I went to another dealer and basically they told me that toyo finance organize the quotes and that their price would be no different to 53.5K (maybe just for a lease?)


                      I would like to ask, what have others been paying recently during the downturn for a turbo diesel GXL?
                      Its been about 3-4 months since the last reply.. has anyone managed to secure a good deal recently?

                        I think I have had mine for about 4 months now, D4D and going over the deal the other day.
                        I had 23,000km on the dial\
                        Got Sovereign and Factory towbar fitted at dealer
                        9000k trade from my ute, half a tank of diesel with the deal, bonnet, weather, headlight shields and full set of mats for 59,000k including trade, so not too bad I suppose, considering the factory bars in the deal.

                        The price difference between mine and the silver and white ones was 3k nearly, only cause mine was red.... how dare they :mrgreen:

                                Sorry didnt mean to offend anyone I didnt realise I was to open an old thread, there were no discussions ongoing. I just thought since the topic was a few months old it may have been better to start a new discussion with updated pricing (as it can change quite quickly with the mess that surrounds us).
