It is a big thing here in Dubai were they can transfer you car looks by "foiling" it with special colors and it sticks very will too, the biggest hit was with Golden , Matt Black and of course the “Platinum” color shown on the SLR Merc. In your picture
I think it is German Engineered Product and it costs a fortune to apply, Say for an FJ Cruiser car will cost around US$ 6000 to foil , for more info see www.foilacar.ae

My dad has a merc with front camera. It's setup for night vision so you can see in fog. Maybe there is an aftermarket kit?
