Thanks all. I sold the 05 Grande and bought a D4D Grande. Trade in was $40k, bought the 07 for $54k ( I get the GST of $6k back as well). I couldn't let this one go as they are rare as hens teeth in this condition and I was wanting to sell/trade before the old girl ticked over the 100ks.The new Prado has 30ks on the clock was owned by the same people that owned the 05 before me.They've traded up to a new Kakadu. I'm going to track them down and see if we can avoid the middle man next time.

For the average punter like me that goes by k and year model and does not care what acessories you have on it as soon as the second hand price is within 10k of new then sorry may as well get the latest and greatest

Well, I could have got a Kakadu demonstrator with 6000ks on the clock for $89 grand or forked out $95 plus or so for a brand new one. Slightly more than $10 grand for the '07. We looked very hard at a newbie and with the way my business is going we could have bought one but I kind of baulked at the price.With the money saved I am going to get a pool in the back yard for the kids. I think we will wait to see what the second generation 150s are like. Toyota should have sorted out any issues with the new model by then.
We love our Grande and I reckon the best parts are the cool box (fits a six pack),TEMS suspension, load levelling/ height adjustable rear shocks, leather, A/C system, the seats and the multiple airbags- side curtains etc.

hi all i have the option to buy a late 06 d4d gx 6sp manual with low ks i just would like to know how much it might be they are going to sell it to me at the trade in price they get when they update latter this year.

can any one tell me what safety items the gx has on it. like does it have abs, side air bag, both front air bags and anything else i might have for gotten oh and it is for late o6 up

gx models in the 120 series have been available as an option pack 1 consisting of ABS and cruise control through out the life of model and commonly found on most ex gov models at auction.
with the post aug 08 models an option pack 2 was available which consisted with the above options and also the side airbags,traction controls electronic trickery, climate air

i know this one has cruise control so it should have abs will have to give him a call to check

I'd definately be asking the question. Mine has cruise (dealer fitted aftermarket) but no ABS.
