2001 VX or Grande - traction control?

Hey,
I'm looking to get a Prado with traction control from around 2001; however, I'm a little confused:
* According to redbooks.com.au 2001 vx & grande don't have traction control.
* According to Toyota.com.au they do, but there is no visible indication not even on dash.
* I seem to recall a post somewhere talking of a TRC light on the dash which presumably indicates traction control!
One owner I contacted wasn't sure but didn't think it had it.

Does anyone have a 2001 VX or grande that could confirm one way or another?
even better, I'd love to have a photo so I know what I'm looking for! I've looked but can't find any.
According to Toyota specs any VX or grande built (not registered) after Aug 2000 should have it.

Anyone out there with a 2001 VX or Grande that can help clear this up?

Thanks for the link. I think that must have been where I saw mention of TRC on the dash.
I've been in contact with Redbook & they've got further details from Toyota & say will be updating their website shortly.
Traction Control seems to have come in at the end of '99, so most 2000 models should have it.

I also spotted a nice shot of a 2001 Grande dash on carsales. It had the words 'Active TRC' under the left-hand dials.
That can mean only 1 thing to me!!! It has it & I can look for those words on the dash to be certain!

The thread you mentioned had a query over VSC for Petrol editions. From the specs I have, VSC was only introduced for diesel and only for diesel autos at that!
