Prado VX 2019 Model - Short Trips

Hi Peeps,
can you please help.
We are looking to buy Prado VX.
Car will be used for touring / trails during school holidays and odd weekend away.
but during 5 weekdays, it has to do school pick up, which is only 5min drive.

How would Prado (PDF filter) act in these short trips as there could be times, where up to month or so of just short trips.
is this going to break the engine or will this be fine.

Hey mate !

we have the 2018 GXL and just done 30,000kms in this time it does 95% short trips Monday to Friday and some months nothing more but regular enough it gets taken away or on a weekend out on the highway and so far zero issues at all

that said ...... it’s going in for it’s 30,000km service next week and the DPF is now included in the nation wide recall ( apparently ) so they’ll need it for two days to replace the unit, never had an issue though

i did opt to do the first 1000kms oil and filter and at 20,000kms diesel filter replacement and reserve tank filter replacement then too but that’s it !

I know that this topic is dedicated to Prado, but there are other cars which you may like. Have you heard about new ford's model expedition? I recently read a review on coolcarsforever.com from John Dean. I was amazed how Ford finally managed to make a nice looking car which might be a direct competitor to Toyota's cars.
