New vehicle delivery times ?

Well ive heard everthing now.
The cars been ready for a couple of days to go to the dealer from the holding yard but the dealers not allowed to pick it up because that job is contracted to a trucking company. :roll:

So why doesn't the dealer tell the trucking company to delivery the vehicle?
I sympathetic to your frustration.

Hi

Same deal here.Car is ready to be delivered to dealer.The dealer told me that they only need one day to detail and fit tow bar.The car arrives on Thursday afternoon to dealership.I said to dealer i will be there Friday afternoon or saturday morning to pick up car.

He then told me that Friday was only a half work day cause of Christmas BBQ.(AAAAAAHHHHHHH) and that they are closed from Friday lunch time till the day after boxing day so now i cant get the car untill next Friday after boxing day (oh mann)

Yes I always expected this to happen with dates around Xmas.
I'm expecting the same answer from my dealer when I ring tomorrow.
Dealers should know not to raise peoples expectations, mine has promised nothing before the 29th and made no guarantee on that date so I can't claim to be disappointed .
I do however sympathize with you guys and hope your cars arrive soon.
I'm really happy just to get mine early Jan after hearing all the horror stories about 6 to 7 month waits. :? 8)

Hang in there guys, as frustrating as it is the wait will be worth it.

Now I have to find a dealership to do the 10000 km service, that came around quick. I have owned the car for 45 days, guess I do not need to worry about making my k's for the lease this FBT year.

Jeez 10,000 in 45 days you better put your order in for a new one now cause the way your going by mid next year you`ll have another 40,000 kms on the clock and by the end of the year maybe 100,000. :shock:
Good to see you are still enjoying the car and i cant wait to get mine and put some serious kms on it like yourself.

I am getting a steady 9.1 ltr/100km out of mine and that is with a mix of running around town with small (100 km) and medium trips (800 km).

It has been an exceptional time for us travel wise what with Hunter needing hospital care etc. We should start to see a drastic reduction in km usage come the end of March. We have a few trips to Sydney to do plus a trip up to Brisbane and back then we have the drive back to Alice and then a possible drive to some place near Bendigo in Vic and back to Alice in March. I reckon by the end of March we will be sitting around the 25000 km mark.

Just received a call letting me know my car is in the holding yard waiting delivery in the next 48hrs.
So far my dealer has not let me down I may even have the car for Xmas day!
How good would that be?
But I won't start counting my chickens just yet. :P :twisted: :lol:

Just missed the cutoff for delivery before Xmas and I'm working during the first available delivery window on the 28th.
I think I'll sulk now and put off the delivery until the new year so at least I'll have an 08 registered car. :lol: :P :twisted: :!:
