New vehicle delivery times ?

Dingo I had the same thing, e-mailed Toyota Aust & they were open and honest, 6 month wait in WA.

What I found was the dealer was not being as open & honest with his dates.

They just want the sale! Then its too bad if its not delivered on time as where else are you going to go.

I am not happy and not sure why Toyota is not being open and rrealistic about delivery delays. i know another forum member who ordered in September last year and his dealer said June this year ...... Why does no one tyell us this when we order vehicles?????

Dingo, found out that mine is delivered 29 April now. Dealer warned me about another delay but mine had just snuck into this build.

I'm still expecting a phone call to tell me it's been pushed back again.

PS - Went through my contract the other night and found that I signed up on 6 August 2007!

DELIVERY DATES

Hi all thought I would add my two cents worth. Mine was ordered Dec 2007 and to date cant be given a date for build. The last heard was maybe April/May/June they still havent been given a date from Toyota they say.???? Who knows.

My first date was 3 Mar so go figuire and when I first ordered I was told I was definitely on a Feb 08 build. ?????????????????????????????????????? :cry:

Start to really think is there a way out of this order.

My thoughts I ordered Jan 14th was told by the dealer 3 month delay then was told 14th May delivery day. Have since emailed the dealer twice requesting tracking code details with no reponse that was like 2 to 3 weeks ago. My guess is he does not have it yet, he did say we had made the April build production schedule but with no reponse to my email my guess is he does not have a date and I'm not getting it on 14th May. :cry:

You would at least think they would at least respond with honesty and say what they know and not just ignore you as in this case. Hey without us as costomers they are out of buisness.

I have heard of people being slugged with a price increase whilst they wait for the vehicles :twisted: this is a bit rich as it is Toyota that is the delay not the buyer Toyota should honor the original price and whats more should be giving there customers some sort of reward for bloody waiting so long. It is us that are keeping them on top of the car sales board, if we all jumped ship and bought another make I think they would make more vehicle available in Australia.

Well thats off my chest unless we want to start a petition to give to Toyota. O well like my good old mum used to say "good things come to those who wait"

I had similar drama with mine, it wasn't that they tried to bump up the price on the Prado, but drop the price on my trade in (2004 VZ SV6). After much argument, they agreed to honour the price of the trade-in. So now I'm driving it everywhere and racking up the kay's :twisted:

Even snuck in a beach drive in it :lol:

Take that Toyota!

:lol: Good on you AJ I also have a price for my BA XR8 so I will be ready for a blue if they try to drop my trade in value. Toyota should be rewarding us not penalising us it should be a win win for both parties

Mine is now out to May.

A stuff up with the ordering, 2 cars ordered & the first one to built was the one without the option pack

They have said they will sweeten the deal as it was there mistake, so will have to wait and see what they can come up with.

Hi all.
Ordered mine around mid Feb, d4d silver option pack 1 and the dealer has been giving me updates via the phone every two weeks or so. Date has been set for end of may. Fingers crossed.
On the free tank of fuel or the lack of it my v6 current prado had a richly amount of around 18 ltrs $$$ 20 bucks Great!! I promised my self this time not to hand the Big Bucks over unless its belly is full.

Hey I have even been as far as test driving the 6 letter P word but alas no cigar. Just not up to the same standard.

So its wait another month, as for the sweetener it will need to be good as the amount of stuff around I have had warrants more than a key ring. :lol: :lol:

I am just glad I did not fly down to pick up the wrong car.

My dealer has a problem with I'll get back to you, he doesn't. Service is obviously not a high priority if I had known this in the first place I never would of looked at purchasing the car from them.
