                Well Guys, Just over 2 days of driving this beast and I now know just what I have been missing. This is without doubt the best vehicle I have ever owned.

                It's also time to eat some humble pie. ops: The service I have personally received from Motor Court Toyota in Mornington has been exceptional. I have received regular updates, accurate information and although they are around 150k from my place they delivered the Prado within a few minutes of the promised time. I received the vehicle within 7 weeks of ordering because someone canceled and the dealer promised it to me. I know there was considerable pressure by the lease company on him to allocate it to someone else but he stuck to his guns and delivered as promised. If this is an example of their good service I reckon I might just drive the 150k every 10,000k to get it serviced there too.

                BTW I don't work for them. :lol: :lol:

                  Well for those waiting in Perth for a new Prado....

                  Ship was supposed to dock on 27th (Thursday). I went down to Freo on Saturday morning but no ship. However there was a pile of Toyotas on the dock - next to the Passenger Terminal. There was certainly quite a few Prados but it was a bit difficult to see just how many - there were a pile of mini buses blocking my view. So I'm hoping one was mine!!!

                  As to the extra $1100 for the GXL, my leasing person rang up 3 other dealers and got the same story - that Toyota has reduced the discount to fleet people. I could argue that the deal was already done etc etc - but in reality I was going to take the car anyway and at the moment I didn't want it reallocated (I want it for my holidays in end October). I also want to try to deal with the dealer (Prosser) about tyres and don't want to make myself unpopular.

                  Hopefully other prospective 'parents' will have delivery soon as well - but not before me!

                    My Uncle from Frankston deals with them and also has a high regard for them, it's good to tell all about good dealers, happy motoring its a small world.

                          Feb 08 delivery date

                          This week (early Oct 07), I am placing my order for my new GLX Prado (Option Pack 2) Diesel Auto. I have been told not to hold my breath as the vehicle should be in Brisbane around February 2008. Oh well, at least it will be a wait worth waiting for.
                          Expected Mid March 2008 - Prado GXL 3.0L D4D 5 Speed Auto, Powder White, Opt Pack 1, ARB Colour-coded Steel Bullbar, Bonnet Protector, Headlight Protectors, Weathershields, roofrack, Colour-coded Spare Wheel Cover, Reverse Park Assist, Roof Rails, 2500kg Tow Bar.

                          All the other accessories that the wallet wont pay for yet.

                            I've just checked on the Toyota tracking system, as I have every day ops:, and it says our car is in transit to Oz !!!!!!! I'm sooo excited now. I can't even imagine what I will be like when I know I can actually go and pick it up from the dealer. Only another 3 weeks, or so, now The timing isn't so good for Andrew though. If we get it delivered by the date they say on the website (Oct 24th), he would have just gone back to WA for 4 weeks :cry: But I have promised him I will take VERY good care of the new baby :lol:
