Enjoy the new toy ! They're a great rig. Glad to see another person whose wait is over.

Perth (& Pradopoint members) certainly got plenty of deliveries this week - I have also picked mine up. June 6th to October 12th.
The drive from Gosnells to Stirling in peak hour was a long one for the wife behind me in her car. She threatened death if I went anywhere but home so she could hop in and come for a drive.
Now the fit out... Certainly will be some questions for the more experienced 'Pointers' coming up in the next couple of months. Looking forward to the '4WD and Adventure show' in November - hopefully there will be some cheap prices.
Would have loved to come next weekend Chippy - to meet you guys and to see some setups. But we're off to Pemberton on the Monday for a week and just have too much on. Almost ink me in for the next one!.
I'm with you fr0gster - now time to change the signature!!!! It least now I'm a fully qualified Prodopointer!
Hey that's great news two more proud Prado parents.
"I take it they are both blessed with D4D's"
Congratulations to the Frogster & Violet families.
I wonder what you will be doing this weekend :P
Cheers,
Fazza

Thanks very much Gentlemen, it has certainly been a fun 24 hours of ownership but I am still thinking of the guys still in the queue, hopefully for not too much longer.
Chippy - No go for me on the trip, bad timing on my part... trip to and from Perth yesterday and going down again on the 27th... as much as I enjoy driving, three trips down south in three weeks is a bit much for me... must be getting old. Will definately be on the look out for next year... you guys may even head north to give me a head start.
Have taken a couple of pics... as you do, I can finally post under users rides.
Ordered my VX D4D on 22nd September. Quoted late January for Delivery.
Salesman was not a very nice person which really turned me off buying a Prado. Wasn't happy when I told him the towing limit wasn't 3500kg, and the official fuel consumption wasn't 8l/100k. Wasn't happy when he blasted me for looking at a Pathfinder as "you have to buy Toyota for reliability" when I told him my current Kluger was the most unreliable car I had ever owned.
I wanted to order a Pathfinder Ti (mainly because I can fit wheelchair in when all seats are in use) but my Company's Purchasing Manager said no and put me on the waiting list. Had to salary sacrifice more for less equipment, but I will agree the Prado is a much better car.
I am sure owning and driving the Prado will soon erase the bitter start so far.
Thanks Hoppy, we even had basically the same options at one point... here's hoping that you car arrives quickly. If it makes you feel better, the car is fantastic and worth the wait!
Wow... all these deliveries gives me hope. I'm really glad that the Prado's are beginning to flow in. Get some stickers on guys and maybe we'll see each other on the road someplace.
After promising to call/ email me last Monday with some solid answers I've still heard nothing about mine. Getting sick of it. I think I'm being played with. Might try getting a quote from another dealer and put it under the current dealer's nose if I get another brush off next month. At this stage an 08 plated vehicle might not be such a bad idea. With a bit of superglue, I can keep the old banger going a bit longer.

Hang in there iron-paww im in the same boat i vented my anger a couple of weeks ago with the dealer which made me feel better. To be honest i think the buck stops with Toyota not advising people of the problems they were experiencing with delivery times in Australia.
I reckon yours and mine are on the same boat and would laugh if it was with the same dealer and at the same time.
Congrats to all you new owners i suppose your only stopping for fuel and a bite to eat for the first couple of weeks.
My internet tracking seems to be working pretty well. I phoned the dealer a week ago and was told it would be arriving in Adelaide today on the boat. I have just had a look and it indicates that my new Prado is in the transport company's storage yard. So hopefully another week or so should see the addition of our new family member.
So I ordered it on 28/06 and it may be delivered by 28/10. Only a 4 month wait.
[B]Cheers
