    YEEHA i cannot believe it got an email today its actually being built,i actually have a BUILD NO delivery end nov early december

    I hope its not someones idea of a sick joke and i wake up in the morning and its all been a bad dream.
    WOOHOO another addition to the family soon.

                Hi All,
                I sent a little feedback tester to to Tojo manufacturers website the other night in a fit of lets test it? and my diligent salesman rang me the next day with great news the D4D GXL will be here next week and the system displayed 12 Nov , the system is working and Toyota and our local dealship are living up to expectations:!:
                07 Upgrade GXL D4D, Manual, Dune,Sov Bar, BFG's, SG11, Redark dual Batts, Extensive Aux wiring, Stebel, LED stop tails, IPF HID's (my mod), 240V Inv, ARB Comp, GME UHF,TPMS, Safari snorkel, GPS,Hilux washers, 40l Engel in 30% pas pos,homemade A/C cond protection plate, polyairs.

                  Looks like you are going to beat me by one month.Im told mine rolls of the production line on the 19th of Nov. Then she just has to find a place on a boat!

                    Thanks all i will still have to wait till the morning to believe it.

                    Hoppy i have a feeling ours are going to be leaving Japan at the same time and if we get them at the same time i will meet you in Alice for a coffee that should be far enough to run them in. :lol:

                        Gees the wait is killing me, I fly down to Adelaide on Saturday and the dealer is picking me up at the airport to take me back to the yard and pick hte baby up. All the extras have been fitted from Toyota there are just a couple of 3rd party extras to go on tomorrow and she will be ready.

                        I have decided to drive up to Pt Augusta Saturday afternoon before heading up the Stuart HWY on Sunday. Really looking forward to the drive this time. I will be on a 14 day permit to get the Prado back to Alice where it will be registered on Monday for the first time.

                          Well, good things come to those who wait Mav. God knows, you've waited long enough. It's heartening to know that the dealer is willing to go that little extra for out of towners. Maybe I should have ordered through your dealer and flown to Adelaide for the pickup too. I wonder if it might be an idea to go for a jaunt around Adelaide for an hour or two to check for any new car issues. My thoughts are to give mine a jolly good run on pickup day (whenever that is) to see if things work as expected. That way you can take it straight back if you find anything amiss.

                            Good idea and I might just do that. Only problem is it will be 3 pm by the time I get to the yard then most likely 4 pm before I drive it away, so even if I go for an hours drive the yard will probably be closed anyway and they don't open on Sundays.

                            On second thoughts I may as well just hit the road up to Pt Augusta and get anything fixed in Alice on the monday if need be. It is going to have to have its initial service/inspection before I head out to Newcastle the following week anyway.

                            I will be just happy to get it and unlike my previous Holdens and Fords I am fairly confident that it will perform great without any major dramas.

                            I once owned a Toyota Corolla AWD and that has been the best car I have ever owned. The Holden Berlina was a complete lemon, I was even threatened by a GMH corporate big wig who rang me to tell me it would be in my interest to keep my mouth shut about the Berlina. Man did I let fly at him, the nerve of them to try and silence me about the woeful build quality of the VT. I had one of the first VT's released and it came complete with the workers gloves and tools under the bonnet.

                            The Fords have been better but still have their niggly faults like the door locks, I have had all four locks replaced now and I think she knows she is going cause it is doing some strange things on acceleration.

                              Good luck with pickin the car up Mav it will be a nice drive in the new beast to Alice.
                              Looks like there will be a few of us having a coffee up there soon. :lol:
                              I know what you experienced with the VT had the same issues over here some years back. In the first 2 months they had to replace the entire steering rack,front windscreen twice,crown wheel in the diff,boot lock and the passengers door trim and this was a brand new car.
                              It was that experience that made me vowe never to buy a holden ever again escpecialy after there complaints department told me You Bought It You Live With It. :evil:

                                depending on what extras you got put on, check that the mechanics/fitters have done things right. I had the sovereign bullbar fitted and when I arrived home 6 kms away I found that the front indicator was hanging by the wires and full of water from the automatic car wash they have.
                                No biggie, they just forgot a couple of nuts.
                                Sounds like the department was rushed to deliver.
                                The Japs have fitted a quality product though and everything they have done is first class.

                                Now the only loose nut is the one behind the wheel on the weekends. :lol: :lol:
