From your sig, I see your baby was ordered in August? Seems Toyota are speeding things up (maybe bigger canoes or maybe better paddles). I ordered mine in Nov and I was told delivery will be by 1Feb08.

Hi

Mine was schedulled for November build.The tracking system still says schedulled for production.My dealer tells me that it is in transit and left Japan on the 30th of November.My tracking system still says schedulled for production and hasnt moved to in transit.Ill just have to wait and see

getting faster?

I ordered mine (crystal pearl D4D Grande) at the start of October. Has been confirmed for Dec build. Dealer says I should have it by late Jan. Does anyone have any comparative timelines to compare?

Asked the dealer for a delivery date last week.
I was told that he won't have a specific date until January.

Has anyone any Idea how long a prado is normaly scheduled for production. I managed to get my tracking number to work the first week in November it was scheduled for production then and it is still scheduled for production and the estimated delivery date is 24 December ?????
the ship was to leave on the 30 November. May be Japanese production lines are not as efficient as we have been lead to belive.
I have not heard anything positive from the dealer ??
Ordered in August, patiently waiting "without" a vehical now thats hard !!

For those checking this thread for a guide to see how long it takes this has been the progress.

Ordered 4/4/07
21/5/07 Advice production in June
1/6/07 Scheduled for production
14/6/07 In transit with pick up 4/7/07(dealer)
20/6/07 On land being prepared for transport with pick up 27/6/07 (dealer)
27/6/07 At dealers pick up by me 2/7/07 (hope so but not 100% sure)

So it has been 12 weeks since order to get to dealer's yard.

As a matter of interest I was speaking to a bloke today and he had an order for a Hilux placed on 4/4/07 (same day as mine) and his is on the water with delivery 24/7/07.

It was well worth the wait

Just recieved conformation from my dealer today that my request to have the car held till Jan and have 2008 plate has been denied and will not be reconcidered.Delivery is expected 24 Dec
To be honest didnt expect anything else,so when she arrives i will be putting a few serious Kms on it to erase the last 5 months of dissapointments

Whoa what a reaction that post got, still lots of us waiting for our new toys.
Looks like Dec 24 is the Sydney dealers delivery date feel sorry for the delivery people they aren't going to get much of an xmas party this year of will we just have to wait a bit longer for our cars?
Toyota should do everyone a favor an get rid of this tracking system it's so far behind reality all it does is cause angst for everyone customers and dealers.

First of all my dealer does not participate in the online tracking system, so all my info is via the dealers information from Toyota.

Ordered on the 31st of July.

My VX was scheduled for production on the 14th of November. It the rolled off the production line on the 19th of November.

Then it went onto the first available ship to Sydney (currently in transit).
Dealer told me a "drive away" delivery date of the 19th of December. He also assured me I would have it before christmas when I queried this date.

All I can do is wait and see.

Just checked the tracking system this morning.The tracking system now says in transit.Which means should be on track for late December pick up

sounds like contract-ion pains.
We may have a early delivery before Christmas.

All you guys getting ready for a pre Xmas delivery is making me jealous..... Ordered My Prado 25/10/07 and just been told by dealer today that production pushed out expected delivery now not until March April....bugger

Well I have had advice from toyota tracking my d4d is in transit. So I phoned the dealer and they said it was not in transit and about 2 hours later they phoned me & their information had been updated and is on the boat. Boat docks 14th December.

Boat left Japan on Friday 30th Dec and the information to Toyota tracking and the dealer was Tuesday 4th.

So if all things go well I should see it on the 20th Dec..........
