Finally, I can breath again. Been holding my breath for a LONG time now.
The Prado is, apparently, parked on my driveway, unless my missus is playing some kind of April Fool's Day Eve joke on me. I'm stuck at work and haven't eye-balled it myself yet.
There was a final twist...The depot went to licence the car this morning, but a particular code required to licence the car was missing. Basically this meant that the trucking company could not truck it out to me.
ARB fit-out is booked for tomorrow...Can't wait until I get a chance to drive it
Got our VX yesterday after sterling effort by the dealer to get the winchbar and towbar fitted so we can collect our Ultimate camper on friday. Today Ozicozi paint protection, tomorrow Cooper STs and off around NSW. Drives like a dream. 80 km/hr in the Jeep seems so much faster somehow.
I drove it a little over 1km on Monday night - I'm trying to stay off the Grandtreks because I don't want to void the trade deal I have struck with the local BFG supplier.
Very happy, very impressed, better than I imagined, sweeter than when I took one for a test drive before buying my own.
The car is now with ARB for the fit-out. Should be finished tomorrow or by Thursday. Then off to the BFG supplier.
Unless the sky falls down, I'll be taking it out for a bash this weekend. Happy days
Hey Dickybird, congrates on new VX had mine for 2 weeks now and loving it 2400km on clock already. Just be careful towing on brand new motor. Toyota handbook states min 800 km before towing. cheers and enjoy

Well I had heard nothing from the dealer about my order, so called them up and he said he was shocked the delivery girls hadn't contacted me as he believes it will be in over the next week or 2!!!!!
They told me May or June, so this is great news. They called again and told me it was down to arrive next Monday and they should have it ready by the end of the week.
BUT, of course my company car doesn't expire until 23 April so I have to wait until the 24 April to pick it up. It will just be sitting there, how frustrating!
But very happy about not having to wait 2 or 3 more months!
My Prado ordered 14th Jan I was told 11th May now have been told some time in June  One good thing after many attempts and asking for have the tracking details, but it won't get it here any quicker  Told the dealer I was not impressed as the guy I dealt with in the dealership did not place the order correctly kept everything in his head and left, they have thrown in a few extras and a full tank diesel.
I have now a planned production date of May delivery June thats a 6 month wait. Well it should be worth it we are hoping it is early June as we are going on a motor home trip to NZ for a month starting late June  .
