  • Missing Sat Nav on Screen

I have just purchased a 2015 GX Prado. When we looked at the car the satellite navigation was on the screen but needed an update. When we purchased the car , the sat nav updated and installed now I can’t find it anywhere? I have downloaded the Toyota Link app to my phone and registered my account . I can do everything on the app but when it says it is sending the map details to the car they don’t show up? How do I get the navigation back on the screen?

I don't think any GXs have SatNav on their OEM screen. Mine certainly doesn't. If your Prado has an aftermarket head unit, it may have SatNav or Android Auto compatibility.

My 2016 GX certainly doesn't have factory sat nav.

I think having navigation was the main reason I bought a GXL rather than a GX in 2015, I was in for a disappointment though as my many posts moaning about the factory navigation will confirm. I wouldn't be at all upset about having no navigation in a GX as it is almost useless anyway. I remember using the Toyota link app as the first poster did only to find that the Masters store I had searched for was in the middle of nowhere according to the out of date map with no roads anywhere near it. The store had been in existence for over 3 years.
The only way to get something decent is to buy an android powered head unit then run whatever navigation software you chose, not what Toyota restricts you to.
