Signed contract 5th August. The type I wanted, (GXL "normal") and an acceptable colour, (Silver Pearl, but anything light would have done) was expected by the dealer anyway. Emailed today (14 August) to be told car on its way to dealer and would be ready "soon". I wonder, are the long times being quoted for unusual specs?

What state are you in?. I'm actively looking for a new GXL or VX in silver but if still long lead times I will reconsider.

As every single person will live in a different postcode, different driving history , different insurance rating etc etc its a moot point comparing what others a paying.

There is no Ball park, everyone is different. So ballpark between $500-2500 a year.

I hope you fare better than me. I ordered my Kakadu on 22 January - the latest update on Toyota’s tracking website this morning is pick up 21 July and the dealer has increased the agreed price by $1,000.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for the Kakadu?

Ordered GXL 18th August and picked up today. Had to call numerous dealers to source a supply. Paid $70k

Picked my GXL with Premium Upholstery up today, bit over 6 months from ordering. Dealer told me the current wait list for Hi Lux or Prado is Minimum 6 months.

Anyone getting their windows tinted? Wondering if i need to get back window done as well as the others? I don't mind it how it is just now and concerned that the defrosting strips may cause bubbling.

I got the back windows done in a clear, over the privacy glass and then the front two tinted to match as close as they could. Came up looking a treat. Havent heard of anyone having issues with bubbling
