Booking Time for Prado2021

Can someone confirm what tyre pressure the 2021 GXL should be. I've checked the manual and they are saying 29psi all round for 17inch tyres. Seems a bit low. Current pressures are 38 psi on front and 36psi on back. Had the car 1 week. I am about to install a tyre pressure monitor external device. Had difficulty finding the info searching on prado point search bar. Please don't redirect me to search. Thanks

Some dealers give people login details to a Toyota tracking website so that you can track this yourself, and some don't. Mine didn't. Instead I got a series of emails from Toyota Australia indicating progress. There's supposed to be six emails, although #4 & #5 didn't arrive (I wasn't the only one who didn't get them). I also got an ETA from my dealer once he had it, which proved to be pretty accurate.

If you read earlier in this thread you'll see the experiences of those who got these emails and those who got the login details. If you've got none of these, I suggest you talk to your dealer. You should have at least received the first email from Toyota confirming that they have your order.

You've got two problems - you didn't use the search, and you've posted your question in the wrong thread. This is the booking time 2021 thread. You should have asked in the tyres area of the forum. Were you to do both of those things, you'd find that there isn't a simple answer to your question, at least not in the same way that there is for a passenger car / SUV. It's up to you how to balance the trade-off between comfort and wear, and how you adapt for off-road, and you'd discover why you should get real AT tyres.

It all depends on who you talk to, My son often conplained about the heat in the back of our previous car, so while it was getting the front windows done the tinter asked if I wanted a clear over the back and I said yes.

Thanks mate, i just checked, I got an email back and July then nothing since, i might call them up this week, initially i was not fussed/in a hurry, but time is starting to get on now

We have ordered silver GXL Premium on the 10/8 through Brisbane Dealer. Currently have no ETA, they are saying up to 6 months.
its Interesting to read how different the outcomes are from people around the country.

update on our GXL :
We have been told that it has changed to A10 Status - Order Transmitted....

Our Dealer is optimistic that it should hopefully be in the October production run, however i am not holding my breath as they did warn about extended delay due to component shortages.

I ordered Prado Kakadu on first week of July supposed to be delivery date 28 October. Dealer call me and told it is delayed until end of November. No email update after first order confirmation though.

Just advised of a new-new update to Prado happening in Mayish. So, I accepted a further delay to the arrival to make sure I get the absolute latest version. Ive waited this long, so happy to wait a bit longer and get whatever new toys are added to it.

Hi Everyone, just signed up as I seem to be getting the ring around from my dealer.

on June 16 2021 I ordered a peacock blue GXL, with leather, this was due to the 19” on the VX’s

In June I was originally told September delivery

then July with price change confirmation told October

then December

then February

now the dealer is claiming delivery is unknown and that they can’t set up tracking of the build as it wasn’t set up in June

what’s everyone’s thoughts on the above? I’m starting to question other options now

Hi all.
been lurking for a while 1st post. Ordered a Graphite GXL with factory leather on 10/06. Was told by dealer delivery was early August. Got delayed to late August then delayed until late September. Got notified by the dealer that the car had arrived at Port Kemble last Monday 20/09. And would be at dealership on 28/09. Hope to see it soon.
but it has to go for GVM upgrade, barwork and wheels and tyres before pickup so hopefully I should take delivery around the 14/10. It’s been a long four months.
