    Hey guys,

I am just wondering what’s the going price for one of these? Are they really worth around 50k mark?
    The 2009-2013 model 3 doors

    thanks !

I don't think so. Is it one of the hopelessly optimistic private sellers?
This is what Red Book says about the ZR's value.

I was interested in buying one but on car sales there’s only like 4 of them. 3 of them are from dealerships around the 50k mark with around 140k-170k km on them. Wasn’t quite sure if it’ll be worth the money or I should just look into something else?

Personally, I don't think a 10-year old Prado is worth that amount. But I'm in the priviledged position of owning a 2017 Prado that I paid $45k @70,000km for, and I'm very happy with it (and want to keep it for a few more years).

The extreme shortage of Prados on the market (new or used) allows sellers to ask almost what they like. If they can make a deal with someone who wants their vehicle badly enough to pay their price then everyone is happy. Just like the stock market or housing market - everyone has a choice in making a deal. Market conditions are tough at the moment - I don't envy your position.

In a couple of years time, I expect the market will become more balanced and Prado prices will return to the "normal" curve (dollars per km vs age) that we had prior to the COVID overseas travel slump, resulting in a lot more local travellers, and the vehicle supply shortage. People who bought at the peak are unlikely to recoup the value of what they paid for the vehicle. Something similar has happened to the caravan etc market.
