Buying a 120 GXL V6 Manual, What to look for?

G'day Guys,

I will be buying a 120 GXL V6 Manual in the next few weeks.

Are there any partucular problems or things I should check on my potential cars above and beyond the standard checks I would do on any car?

Tips would be much appriciated.

I would be looking for any cracks to the chassis or inner guards, especially if there is or has been a second battery in the engine bay.

Jacto has an issue with his clutch on his D4D 6pd. Not sure if it has any relevance to the V6...

Schaffer, I would be interested to hear some more details on the issues with dual batteries. I am looking at installing a Pirana second battery system when I get my car.

Amts, I have heard about clutch issues, I will obviosly give the clutch a good check over when I drive the car, but I have my heart set on a manual (fingers crossed its the right decision).

Just do a search in the 120 section on cracked inner guard or inner gaurd cracking. If you go with a good battery tray and not a Super Crap Auto flat usless non supportive tray, then this seems to overcome part of the issue but do a search.
