  • Latest 150 Prado prices and deals.

    Hi all,

New to the Prado forum scene though I've made an appearance as I'm looking at trading up from my 08 Sr5 to a new 150 series Prado.

I would like to know what sort of deals people have secured on a new 150 series Prado if your happy to share. I'm not too fussed about what model or engine you decided on I just want to get an idea of what deal you received and how hard you really had to push to get it. I've been around to a few places however as you may know, some dealers insist that they won't give you the best rock bottom price until your ready to sign. As I'm not buying till march this poses an issue.

I've had a look around and the most recent thread I can find is 2009 so I hope no one has an issue with me creating this one.

Like I said, I would like to hear from anyone who now owns a 150 regardless of mode, engine, extras etc.

For knowledge sake I'm looking at a GXL, Diesel, manual with a tow bar then off to ARB and the local 4WD shop for the rest of the goodies.
I will be shopping around in Brissie unless I hear of a dealer that are cutting their margins to the point where profit is nonexistent.

I have been to Sci-Fleet , Llewllyn (Ipswich), Motorama and Oldmac with the following results.

Oldmac being the best so far as that was where I bought my hilux 3 years ago. Closely followed by Sci-Fleet. Llewllyn was a fair bit more and Motorama was shocking. Wouldn't come down bugger all, wasn't anywhere near the figures I had from sci-fleet and oldmac (didn't tell him i had them). When I asked for a printed quote would only do it at full retail and then when said I will be shopping around to try and get him to play the game he just said "if you find a cheaper price don't bother coming back as I'm not going to stuff around over a few hundred dollars" not knowing he was 6 grand off the mark. I don't wish to disclose what prices I have so far so there is no predetermined benchmark and to ensure validity of claims.

So I have a rough ball park figure in my head, all dealerships agreeing that they can't 'fine tune' and deals until when I actually am buying (March) but I just want to know how much fine tuning there is available if any.

Open forum to brag guys.. lol

Thanks in advance for any assistance or advice.

    Nathan.

      My apologies however it wasn't in 'Buying a Prado (150/ 120 & 90)' section.

I did search through the correct area.
