Did a 4WD course a couple of weeks ago - the instructer said a WA guy was making a tyre deflater, has anyone of you WA PP's used these 1 secound = 1PSI

He's been making them for a while and has quite a few fans. Certainly very fast deflation and relies on you knowing the original pressure and your accuracy in timing. I already had the Stauns when I came across the ferret.
As for the Staun copies, apparently they are #*+& (source : a post on PP )

If you still need to count using the deflators... twigs on the side of the road are free. I have never looked too deeply into deflators but i thought they were designed to stop letting air out at a predetermined pressure.
Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other baby

The Stauns, yes. The Ferrets, no.
If you have 4 Stauns set at the same pressure, then putting all 4 at once is probably the same time as going from tyre to tyre with the ferrets (roughly). There are as many pros and cons with both, it all depends on the end user preference. Both are good products and if you own either one, it is still better than carrying a tyre gauge and doing it manually.
I have the ARB Deflator, takes no time at all, and has a gauge on it so it is very accurate.
Me too. HOWEVER, like all guages I doubt its accuracy but if your ok with +/- 5 psi then yep, all good.
