i didnt get the tv version but i dont watch tv much at home either so no biggie for me - and $100 cheaper
as for ozi yes the buttons are small but you can adjust font sizes a bit to make it a bit easier but i still find using a stylus is a must to make accurate log points etc. but thats not a big deal for me either as just having moving map topo's is great for knowing where you are and heading when off the main road.

I have a 120gb hard drive which i tried in the usb port. it picked up the music on there ok. i havent tried maps though and not sure if within ozi it will allow you to select the hard drive - i havent tried that but when i get a chance will have a look for you.
i bought a 8gb micro sd for for both ozi and the original igo8 and have aust wide 100k topo as well as nsw 25k and the card is only half full.

Thanks barcode I'll have a look at all my maps and see how much room they take up. I've got all QLD, NSW and Vic as well as the Hema ones as well. From memory the NSW topoview maps are nearly 8 GB and the Hema is around 3GB.
In terms of Ozi looking for different directories I'm pretty sure you can tell it where to look for maps. At least on the laptop version. I'll fire my laptop up and have a look when the kids are in bed.
Ok just checked on the laptop, Ozi allows you to choose which hard drive to load maps from.

There is one available for the 150 Click here.
And some info in this thread.
I just fitted one in my 150, it works great, have OziExplorer installed, just need a bigger microSD card to fit all my maps on. My only complaint is that the moulding that takes the hazard light switch/parking sensor display seems to be misaligned on mine, I had to do some work with a file to get my switch to fit. Apart from that, so far so good, I'm happy with the unit.Silver 150 D4D Manual. The specs on the ebay page show an additional component in (AUX IN), so I think you'd probably be able to wire up another camera to that - I read they can on the dig options 6.2" screen.
I'm thinking of either this unit or the dig options one (see other thread on GPS).
A couple of quick questions - how is the fit - is there any gap between the unit and the console. As far as I can see, the 2 options are pretty similar in specs - this one has a 7" screen, the dig options has a 6.2" one (and includes a camera). Apart from that (and a few minor things such as the dig playing jpegs), they basically do the same thing.
The other things is, Dig options will give a pp discount as well, and has been active on this board - so there should be no problems if something goes wrong with that option.
Still, size does matter.... ;-).
For those of you who bought this model - did you look at the dig options one, and if so, why did you go this way?
Thanks,
Nut.

I've got a couple of 500MB ones which I use for work, but I've toyed with the idea of dumping all my digital topo maps onto one, plugging it into a GPS and using Ozi Explorer.
Anyone tried this?

I've persisted with the original head unit in the 120 and often wondered if there is a way to add an aux input to allow an iPod to be connected.
I'm currently using one those tuner cradles which plugs into the cig lighter and charges the iPod. Tune the radio to the signal and enjoy. Problem is the cradle wobbles around a bit off road and gets in the way of the transfer lever plus the sound quality is a compromise.
There seems to be a brains trust here so thought it a good time to ask!Tony
