Here's a side by side of my old genuine filter and new eBay filter.

The filter material is much thicker in the genuine filter.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok well ive had mine installed for about 5000km now but ive only been driving round town. Before 'installing' i made a couple of marks in the dust that was already on the 'wrong' side of the airbox to see if there was any difference. Looked at the weekend and they are still there so the cleaner obviously cleans the air....to what degree its hard to tell. I would say that this isnt genuine...little things like the rubber seal has some imperfections etc. its probably as good as any after market ryco or whatever but not as good as genuine.

Having not fitted a genuine, only Ryco etc, I think they are pretty much identical to aftermarket ones I've fitted before. I certainly haven't come across the OEM green filter posted earlier for the 1KZ.Originally posted by barkern View PostOk well ive had mine installed for about 5000km now but ive only been driving round town. Oh geez guys, sorry about the late reply- i havent been lurking PP for a while... My final opinion on these filters is that genuine has a twice as thick paper core compared with these ebay ones... The ebay ones were more of a similar comparioson to a Cooper branded air filter... Also the genuine had a very snug fit in the air box with a better rubber seal... Just my opinion but after buying a few off ebay Im all for the genuine producy now.HERS - KZJ120, BILSTIEN / KINGS, AMTS GEAR, RHINO GEAR, OUTBACK DRAWERS ETC ETC ETC
