  • air compressor not quite ebay tho

Hi people found this while trolling for air compressors a while back, I bought one and am quite imspressed with it, although it is not from ebay I couldn't think of where to put it. As usual i have no association with this other than a happy customer

Shero, did you buy the 150 LPM one? Looks very similar to my ABR Sidwinder unit.

if so, does it have the delflation chuck?
*** EDIT Yes it does, I just read the H/D model blurb. ***

My Sidewinder unit has the thernal cut out wired wrong, it won't turn off when hot, at least that's my take on it LOL.

I bought one of these units at the start of last year. I only got to use it about 3 times before it packed it in. Unless they've changed their design, the switch that is in them won't last, mine pretty much melted the last time I used it by the time it got to the last tire. A friend had the exact same thing happen to his.

I think when I get another I will be spending that little bit extra to get a 'named' brand.

Keep in mind the duty cycle of whatever you buy, ie: percentage of running time to rest time. The cheaper ones usually need a longer rest (cooling down) period otherwise they will burn out. The more expensive ones will have closer to 100% duty and will inflate a lot more tyres without failing. As the cheap ones get hot they will draw more current trying to keep the piston going, the smaller wire gauge can't cope and fries the switch or fuse.
