There's no mention of KDSS or airbag.

I looked at them today, they are nowhere near the quality of the TJM ones that I have, ie tek screws to attach the top plates finish looked more like a backyard job.

I agree. The TJM steps are very well made and not a lot more. Especially if you fit them yourself. My only issues is how sharp the edges are and I will linish these in due course.

I don't think it is KDSS as such but the extra cabling etc running down the chassis and interfering with the mounting, Daniel will hopefully tune in an confirm what the actual issue is.

Regarding the KDSS, yes that's right. There are cables and components running down the passenger side chassis rail which interferes with the mounting point.

The main Hydraulic lines and KDSS pump are mounted on the passenger side outer chassis rail. TJM could have quite easily built to suit the market not the masses (GXL and GX models) however as per usual they did not. The ARB ones will fit both and I have mine on order, originally due late Jan 13 however from what I have been told I should have them any day now. Personally I would prefer the TJM ones, look great and match the T13 TJM Bar I have however beggers cant be choosers...

Not possible to move to make them fit unless you want to drain the oil out the KDSS, remove the lines etc. Good luck getting it to sit level then.

Anything to do with the KDSS falls in the too hard basket!

I looked on the ARB site and didn't see rock sliders for the Prado, how much are they asking for them?

The TJM steps and ARB steps are not rock sliders, they are steel protection side steps as there is a big difference. The ARB ones are around $1100 from memory. There is a post in the 150 section where I put up the specs and exact prices from ARB including the brochure.

Jasen I asked at the show re MCC side steps legality and they pretty much quoted what you have said above about the legality of fitment. The other thing to check before committing to any modification of course is to check with your insurance company
