  • Digital power meter (Watt/Amp/Volts)

I noted some guys using these units to monitor their car battery/fridge systems. As an avid electric RC plane enthusiast I use these units all the time myself to monitor usage for setting up correct prop/motor combinations.

The original source for these monitors is Hobby King (run by an Aussie BTW). Going to HK may be a fair bit cheaper than 'some' places on the net I know people have used, only $23.95 au.

They are a great supplier, brought lots from them and never had a problem yet.

I can vouch for these monitors being really useful to keep an eye on fridge power consumption and solar in feed. Unfortunately I bought the gold plated version! Good pick up.

Another opton a few people use is the "watt meter".

Hook it up with anderson plugs at each end and put it in line with your solar panel.

      Cheers

They report accurate readings, what you do with these is up to you, the data out is only important to those that are into 'fine tuning' a system.

Personally I use this for fine tuning RC plane motors.

Great idea on the power meter Peril , i just made the association with RGC, been trying to figure out where i knew the name from , i use the Eagle tree gear for my RC stuff, but the Turnigy would be an easy option , certainly tried and proven over the years
