Cheaper ScanGauge knockoffs?

Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere.
I'm in the market for a ScanGauge and wondered if anyone has info/opinions on these cheaper versions. I assume from the sellers name they are from the orient and a long way to our north. Still, if they do the job!!!!!!!. I dunno.
They look the same and the description of functions is very similar.

I've gone for an obdlink lx by scantool and the torque app. Just waiting for it to arrive. Delivered it is just $110 for the lot and you get a lot more functionality. Tho it relies on your smart phone.

My first impressions of the gauge is that it feels pretty solid, and well made. The device itself is a sort of rubberised plastic, and the switches dont feel like they will fall off anytime soon. The device comes with some velcro double sided tape for mounting, the interface cable to the car, a USB cable for updating and downloading from the unit and some software on a mini cd (which doesn't quite work for my laptop as it has a slot type cd player, I will have to transfer it to a USB at work this week.)

It also came with a small quick start guide and a manual which have currently gone walk about.

The install process is simple, just plug the device into the OBDII plug under the steering wheel and turn on the ignition. The device connected to the car without any issues. The device can then be setup for the car by scrolling through the menus, the following are setup on the unit: The engine size, The tank size, Fuel type "diesela", what units "metric or imperial" and cost of fuel.

The gauge is now ready to go.

So far everything appears to work, there are values for all of the gauges and they change as you would expect when you hit the loud petal and drive off. I havent fine tuned the unit to the car yet (this is where the speed values can be adjusted to be the true speed (gps) of the car, and the fuel usage adjusted). But the trip computer give outputs similar to the toyota one on the dash.

I am unable to verify if the device reads any of the engine diagnostic code as I havent seen one yet.

The only thing I have found the the device doesn't display is the Vin number. It does have values for the other numbers but the vin number just displays dashes.

All in all the devices appears to do everything it is advertised to do. All for $USD60.99 a significant saving over the scan gauge.

If there are any additional things you want me to report on I will be happy to do so.
