This is hardly worth its own thread but I was just so staggered at how cheap this was I just couldn't believe it!

10 hose clamps posted from Hong Kong to me for just $1 in total. Why would anyone waste their time, how much profit could there possibly be in these? Anyway despite the fact they will arrive long after I need them I bought some for "next time". Cant go too far wrong for a $1, just need to find some locally to get me sorted in the short term. No one here stocks 6mm hose clamps.

We will see, should be easy enough to tell if they are half decent or not. I am not much of one for buying cheap Chinese rubbish, but at $1 its beyond cheap. I only wanted them for polyair air bag lines, a clamp is barely even needed on these.

As much as anything its the postage that staggers me, how can you send a parcel half way round the world when postage is included in the price of the product and its only $1.

Seller might be buying good feedback.
Meanwhile, we locals have to pay big bucks to send stuff around domestically.

I once met someone connected to a seller of mobile phone covers who maintained their warehouse overseas due to the cheaper postage from overseas. They can't compete if they moved their stock to Oz.

whats ironic is it would cost us more than $1 to post a letter to china, but they can produce 10 hose clamps, post them here, pay ebay fees and still make profit?

Andrew I had a clamp break on my polyairs and I contacted Polyair and they sent me a complete fitting kit for nothing! Give them a call or alternatively AutoPro etc have these sized spring clamps.

Our Autopro don't stock them, nor does the motorcycle shop, the engineering supplies, the irrigation supplier...................

I didn't break the clamp, it just flew across the shed floor somewhere when it popped out of the pliers, half an hour of painstaking searching and I found it and finished the job! Next time I should be right as I will have a few spares.

You can get them at hobby shops AJ , we use them on the silicon fuel lines for the glow motors

Thanks, I've ordered 5 different sizes for the toolbox.

I just ordered the one size, if the quality is OK then I might get the full range, they also have P clamps for the same price; so might get a few of those as well,. $20 should get me a good range of "case" stuff.

10 pcs the way I read it, I first thought it was one of each size, but it's choose the size you want x 10. Time will tell.
