    I've seen Airtec and Safari snorkels accidentally get driven over by an electric forklift and not crack. And they add UV resistant polymers into their plastics.

    For a city dweller who will only be going through mildly flooded streets, and wants a snorkel for looks, ebay has lots of $$ saving snorkels.
    But for anyone who will actually use their rig offroad, get a respected brand name which has had hours of R&D involved and will guarantee a working engine after a river crossing (assuming it's installed correctly!).
