Yep, it all sounded a bit too good to be true!

But cancelling orders without any prior communication is pretty unprofessional.

I ordered a total of 9 items. One has arrived, another six are at the Post Office and I've been advised that the other two should be shipped within a week.

Hopefully I'm not the only one to get some bargains.

Mine being refunded also. We must have smashed their hema stocks and someone noticed the low prices.

                Cheers, Nova

                      Just got this:
                      Dear James,

A pricing error was identified yesterday affecting titles published by Hema Maps, originating from the publisher Hema Maps, and affecting your order.

Whilst we worked to correct this error all Hema Maps titles were temporarily withdrawn from sale.

As a result we have cancelled any Hema Maps items from your order. Any other unrelated items will not have been affected by this issue and will be processed as normal.

We would like to apologise for this error and any inconvenience caused.

                      Kind regards,

                      Customer Service Manager

Hmm, I'm not sure they are allowed to do that under Australian Consumer Law.
If a price is advertised & paid for at the advertised price, too bad to the seller - they have to suck up the difference.

That's what I thought too topic, but I can't find it. If anyone else can find that reference in the law can they post it? I would like to site it and get my stuff that I also ordered.

I think they can as long as they issue the refund?
I am trying to look into it but I think its a lost cause...
Have had similar situations on other websites with pricing errors and they just refund.
you need to be one of the lucky first few to get in before they realise the mistake..

Me too. Bought a Gas Heater and the site had moved the decimal one point the wrong way. It would have been an awesome deal but they noticed before they sent it out. Usually when it is too good to be true, it really is. I looked into it back then and as long as they fix it and don't just leave the error up there than thats that. They class it as an actual mistake, not just a way to get peoples attention and then try and sell them something else.

Aholes, I'll call it bait advertising.
Then shipping other items ordered without an email.
"Oh but there a message on your account" yeah I don't login to my booktopia account on an hourly basis love
Knew I shouldn't have asked the missus if she wanted anything.
