Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

Just rang the local Autobarn. Confirmed that the 42102B (1928mm x 1236mm) pioneer platform has the discount available.
Need to go in store, pay upfront and it should be available for pickup next week.
Works out to be about $630 (I already have the legs so just need the platform).--------------------------------------------------------------------

Just got back from the brissy 4x4 show. Pretty disappointed in the show specials. Best Rhino could do was 10% off. Told the rep about the 25% off and he said it happens every time the shows are on - national chains undercutting them.
As a side note, the Waeco CFX50 was $960 at 4wd supacentre stand and $969 with free delivery most days of the week at their online store. Waeco rep said he doesn't know how they do it, they must make a loss on it and that I should go buy it from them at that price (politely).

4x4 and Camping shows never seem to result in a deal for me - I keep hearing some people get lucky, but...Prado 150 D4D AUTO GXL with ARB Deluxe Winchbar, Brains' TG150 Transfer Case Actuator Guard, Bilstein/Ridepro 50mm Lift, Safari Snorkel, D697 265/65/17 LTs, Dual Battery Setup with REDARC Controller, REDARC Tow Pro, Toyota Tow Bar, Maxtrax - towing a Camprite TL8s fitted with GXL wheels and D697s.

At first Burleigh autobarn manager said he wouldn't do it because it wasn't in stock
I explained others had been able to order them at the discounted price
He eventually went to do it and said his depot was out of stock in the 2.1, that he'd have to order it from Sydney and I'd have to pay the pricey freight
I tried the 1.9, which they had in stock at the depot, but then they were out of feet so he'd have to order these from Sydney
Might follow this up with Rhino, as he said it was a manufacturer:rhino reimbursement for them

That's not gone well. I have a feeling it was at the stores discretion if they would order in for the sale price. Shepparton don't carry much stock, because they typically don't sell many of the more expensive racks.
Shepparton didn't even check for stock. He went to the rhinorack website, looked up the part numbers and said he'd get them in.Spilsy

I had a feeling it wasn't gonna happen. Probably should've gotten in at the start of the sale.
Same deal there - I think they just have a display rack in stock and that's about it
Will try my luck with Rhino directly, otherwise I'll be waiting for the next sale - might be a while
As a consolation, I went and bought myself a fridge haha
