Hi, Have just returned from a great trip starting in Darwin, and would recomend it to anyone wanting a realy good adventure.
Darwin to Mataranka then to Roper Bar,and follow the Savanah Way, through to Borrolooa,Hells Gate then down to Kingfisher Camp and on down to Lawn Hill. Great scenery, Lost City, Butterfly Gorge, Lawn Hill plus a lot of just interesting country. "Roads" were no problem and river crossings were reasonable although Elizabeth River a little daunting. Prado did it with no problems. Did just under 10,000 ks round trip with one puncture caused by a nail, used no oil in fact did not have to touch the motor. Only thing I paid attention to was tyre pressures. If you have not done this trip put it on your "must do" list.
