  • Moreton Accommodation - Tangalooma?

We are planning to take the little bub and kids over to Moreton ( but maybe Stradbroke if cant get Moreton) in early october for 3-4 days or so. Late notice but should be just after school holidays. As we have the little one and kids , the wife doesn't want to camp on this trip.
So I am after some recomendations of 2-3 bedroom villas, beach houses etc. Somewhere child friendly, parking etc. Was looking at the Tangalooma villas. Has anyone body stayed there or tangalooma in general?.
What's it like for kids as well. Thanks in advance

    Cheers
    Robert

    Robert,
We have stayed in the villas at Tangalooma a couple of times and the kids love it. It is just a short walk out the front of the villa across the grass and you are on the sand. The water is still and very safe for little kids and big kids too. If the adults want more energetic things to do then they can all be hired from the resort; tinnies, sail boats, boards, quads etc.
We will be over there again on the last w/e of October and staying in one of the villas that we hire.
Google "Tangalooma Villas" if you want info, prices etc about them.
Also, if you are taking over your 4WD then only villas from 40 to 50 have a road in front of them that you can drive along and park your car outside the villa. If you have a lower number, you have to park your car in the parking lot near villa #40 and carry everything along to your villa. There are trollies about on the paths that you grab and use to help with heavy gear though.
    Hope this helps.

Excellent info Brian, just what I was after. Thanks
Are all the villas owned by the resort, or different companies?
      I found them here http://www.tangalooma.com/info/accom...hfront_villas/
But then noticed this website has only 4 specific villas listed http://www.tangaloomavillas.com/
I cant find number 40-50 youmentioend as I would prefer to park next to the villa. Can they be booked through the resort?
      Cheers

        Robert,
I think the vIllas are all privately owned. I know some are up for sale too. The resort and some real estate agents act as the agent for the owners. We have booked #29 and RayWhite on Moreton Island is the agent for it and we have booked others by phoning the owners direct. RayWhite is the agent for villa 49 which is one I know has the road in the front of it and you can park outside it. This email address will contact them as they use TakeaBreak as one of their addresses. [email protected]. Ask them for a map of the resort and villas and it shows where they are and all the roads in the resort area. I can email the map to you if you PM me.
