  • Mt Mee maps

We had such a great time on Sunday with the PradoPoint Brisbane and surrounds group I was wondering if anyone had any detailed maps of the Mt Mee state forest. Either their own they are willing to share or could direct me to an appropriate source.

I have been to Mt Mee a number of times now and recognise a number of tracks but now want to piece together the puzzle.

    Cheers

    Martin

Hi Martin, Are you after GPS maps or paper ones??

I have a habit of collecting paper maps where ever I go and the best paper maps for that area are the Laceys Creek and Mount Byron topographic maps. I got them from the map shop in the city. I'll see if I can remember the name of the shop and let you know.

Otherwise for general touring, I also have the Sunmap Tourist Maps, the Gregory maps (watch out with the Gregorys... I've already had a couple of roads that don't exist on the map  ) and other local mud maps

If it's GPS maps then head over to exploreOz.com's forum... a wealth of knowledge there
    Cheers, Leon

      Martin,
Ring Vince (trip co-ordinator) in the club(Brisbane 4wd Club) as I am sure he has some. We have done several trips through Mt.Mee over that past 3 years.

        Guys,

Department of Natural Resources usually has all the 1:25k topo paper & CD based maps in stock if you are anywhere near the city as well as all sorts of things map-related.

They are in the Landcentre opposite the Gabba cricket ground.

Have a look at http://www.nrw.qld.gov.au/property/m...phic_maps.html for all the part numbers and pricing.

I actually tried there first Sarge... they sent me to a place on Ann St that only had the Nation Parks mud maps who in turn sent me to World Wide Maps & Guides who had much better maps... maybe I just spoke to the wrong person but the WWM&G store had everything you could possibly want regards maps and travel books.

            Snaga,

I have set foot in there but I must admit that I haven't actually ASKED them for the maps. I am blessed that Nichole works there (in another section) and she got me some 25k topo maps of the area. The website gives the part numbers but I was told they have them at the landcentre.

Sorry to give you guys a bum steer. I'll check more thoroughly next time. My bad... ops:

Not saying they don't have them... I might have just asked the wrong person... they do have lots of maps available so still worth looking into
