Going to Kalbarri this long weekend..anyone know how far the scenic river track goes..looking at Google Earth it appears to go right back to the gorges?

no idea, but if you're looking for a feed, try Finlays Fish BBQ. Somewhat hidden in the backstreets, but worth seeking out.

Yeh..been there before .. a great spot..weather doesn't look all that flash this weekend though..last time I was up there a couple of years ago , we drove down the river road for about 4 kms before turning back..the co-pilot was getting a bit anxious....and that was in a 79 seiries TD ute with twin factory diff locks..I've just bought a 2006 TD Prado , so interested to see how it goes off roadComment

If my recollection is right, the track turns back on itself and heads back to town inland. Few minor tracks continue to the river edge. It's just a maze of tracks there. If the forecast rain reaches Kalbarri it will make some tracks real interesting!
