I'm taking the family over to Broome from Darwin for a leisurely couple of weeks to relax on the beach and do some day trips in our new Prado from Wednesday this week.

If anyone will be over in that direction, let me know to see if we can catch up. Otherwise I'll just keep a lookout for any vehicles with PP stickers whenever I can.

    Cheers. 8)

Sad to say I saw heaps of Prados over in the Kimberley but none sporting a PP sticker

Had a great time in Broome with the kids... but glad to be home and back on PradoPoint!

Just updating the thread with some of our pics to add colour and to show why it is one of our favourite destinations. 8)

              Re: Broome

It's all confirmed. We'll be visiting Broome again in June/July 2010.

Looking at also spending 5 nights up at Cape Leveque with the camper trailer too.

Less than 6 months to go.

I still got to work it out with the cook and around school holidays . But yes hope to catch up for a couple of light woops sorry full strength ales . A suggestion is Port Smith Caravan Park can not remember if Wednesday or thursday night a $5.00 fish and chip night as well as local entertainment which I have been told is a good night and the fishing is amazing and looking at Google it appears there is a track from Broome to there approx 130km(my mother went plenty of times as she lives 20 km up the coast from there . And the reason of knowing about the fishing , I was lucky enough to be taken by the locals at the community I stayed at for a couple of nights a few months back - was fortunate to get permission as I am not Aboriginal) . But that is a definate part of my un planned itinerary

A 95 series dont need them they can claw their way put of anything .. I nearly grabbed a set at the camping & 4wd show a month or so ago then I remembered a mate got a set a while ago and he allways buys things doesnt use them for a while and decides he dont need them and flogs them for a song . Brought up the subject again last night to the mrs about heading up there its a goer just gotta work out the dates and the arguement about taking the boat instead of the camper , what are the chances 4 females sacrificing comfort for fishing

                          NTPrpyce,
Whilst I was in Broome recently I had my Prado serviced and I can recommend one place very highly. In fact I went there after I was recommended to them on three separate occasions by three separate people.
                          The details are:
                          Broome Auto Excellence.
                          32B Pembroke St
                          Broome 6725
                          08 9182 1033
I think the names of the two young guys are Nick & Chris. Both are ex senior personnel from Toyota Broome.

Change of plans looks like I am selling up and moving to Tassie , depending on when the house sells may still make the trip if it doesnt have the kids out of school for too long , it just makes the trip a little longer
