Cairns Lake Resort

We will be going to Cairns after Christmas this year for a couple of weeks and are looking at different accomodation atm. We are taking the soft option this time and flying up there and renting a car. Normally we would stay in a caravan park but though I might keep my options open this time. I have come accross the Cairns Lake Resort which is only a little more expensive than a caravan park cabin. Has anyone stayed there and what did you think. I will be there with out 2 kids (7 and 9). Also has anyone stayed somewhere that they thought was really good?

Mate i have been there and have friends that work there in hospitality..

its up there with Cairns best accomodation and has just won cairns best resort /restuarant.

pricy but real nice.....sure you will enjoy...

Thanks for that Joey, it is always good to hear from someone that has actually stayed there. I was surprised that it was only $100 more for the week over a cabin in a caravan park

I would recommend the Lakes Resort to anyone. My Wife and Daughter and I, Enjoyed ten nights there back in 2007.
Plenty of Accommodation options and services/features to make your family stay a great one.
Friends of ours (Cairns locals) came over for drinks and poolside BBQ'S while we where up there and loved the place.
