I'm looking for a camping area alongside a river in SEQLD or Northern NSW. Somewhere that is not populated any you can have fires.
Anyone got any ideas?

Also check out the Northern Rivers 4x4 Trail. Plenty of free river camping in beautiful settings. Especially take a look at Urbanville and Yates Crossing at Alice.
Here's a couple of pointers to Northern Rivers trip reports:
Isn't every where in Queensland beside a river......

I agree, it is a top spot but I would ring ahead to find out if the property is still open for business. I heard the property was severely affected by the floods. Otherwise it is an excellent spot for families. You pretty much have the place to yourself if you go, outside of school holiday period.
