  • Stradbroke Fuel

    G'day all,

Planning a work trip to North Stradbroke Island and am trying to figure out which fuel cards to take.

Does anyone know if they have any major servo's over there? ie: BP, Shell, Mobil or Caltex? If so, do you know where they are located?

I have searched the yellow pages and only come up with one Roadhouse near point lookout, but its not one of the above.

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers,

    RT

There is also Straddie hardware (at dunwich) that supplies fuel, again not a major player in the fuel game.
And a small independant at Amity
I believe all are supplied by Neumans petroleum.

They may take fleet card, cannot remember as my island fuel is supplied from a site bunker.

Thanks mate. I keep seeing on google something about a BP Roadhouse near Adder Rock but cant find a phone number. Might have to give the info center a call. Dont want to have to take 20 odd jerries over :x

The roadhouse at point lookout (near adder rock  ) used to be BP, it is now private.

Still not sure on fuel cards, will have to give the servos a phone call to confirm.

I travel accross daily, might be able to help out carting a jerry can. The Barges are good for carting things from one side to the other, unattended. Pretty sure the passenger ferry (how I get accross) does not allow flamable items to be transported.

All good mate, will just have to put 10-20 jerries in the tray of one vehicle.

Thanks for the info bud
