  • Fraser Island Beach house

    Hi All

myself and a few other families want to stay at Fraser this July for a week or so. We usually camp but with young kids though we would go a beach house. Can anyone recommend locations to stay. the only ones i know of is at Happy Vally, Eurong and Orchid Beach.

Preferably want a short wall to beach.

    any recommendations are appreciated.

Hi Hutch, We have a group that stay at Happy Valley for the Aust. Day Long Weekend and this will be our 5th year in 2011. We stay at a place called Parker Place which is a 4bed house with a nice deck, a short walk to the beach and also for ice and supplies etc. They also have a house next door called Noller Place and we book both of these each year. They are clean, tidy and well maintained and I would highly recomend them both. Feel free to contact Anne Bell at [email protected] for information.
I am not associated with them, but we are VERY happy customers

              Re: Fraser Island Beach house

I know this is an old post but thought i'd give a reply.

Since I was a little kid I've been going to fraser island with family and family friends, probably around ten times in total, with a mixture of camping and in the beach houses at orchid beach.
Whilst the camping is great, the houses do have their benefits. we have stayed in three different house and they have all been great, however they arent a short walk to the beach, we generally drove down to waddy point for most of the day anyway. The different houses do add a bit of a cost to the trip and go up in price as you move up the hill.
I think the houses at orchid beach are a bit newer than most of the other places on fraser, orchid beach is the furthest houses to the north which means there's no backpackers because they aren't allowed north of indian head.
