Margaret River Cow Parade

Spent the last four days down south of Busslteton chasing cows.
The Margaret river tourist assoc have organised for cows ( not real ones) to be painted by local artists and placed them all around the wine area. There are over 80 of them and we managed to see almost 60.

Started last month and goes untill June when they will be herded up and sold at auction for charity.

All to a good cause....all organised for the Wine Festival, but unfortunately quite a few of them have had to go to the Cow Hospital, after vandals have had their way.

Some have been "Mooved" around a bit. One ended up on a raft out off Prevelly park, some have had funny things done to them, some quite cruel. (Well it would be cruel if they were real)

I think my fav is the Cheetah one in Witchcliffe. (Sorry no pic yet)
They are scattered from Busselton to Augusta, and I think I saw a story in Busselton local paper of a cow that had already been auctioned for charity. pic in our local

is this a new thing or do they do it every year? Looks like a fun thing to do with the childerbeasts but have no plans of heading that way soon. might put it in the plans for next year though.

Its the first year this has been on. Not sure if continuing in the future

There was a pic in this weeks local paper, of the Gene Simmons cow, with the tongue etc

Will see how it scans and post if it works out ok

Thanks for the link Wayne. There are cetainly some very creative and tallented people down that way! I hope they do it again so we can plan a trip to see them all.
