Hi
I am new to Queensland and Pradopoint
The better half is away for a few days between 12th and 16th July.
I along with my second best mate, my Bluey, would welcome a couple of suggestions for a trip within a radius of 2 to 300 ks of Brisbane with say two one night stop overs.
Have Prado with Roof Top tent and all the gear.
Here's hoping

Harvey bay is a nice spot, double island point or noosa and if you r keen there is always fraser, just a thought, or even LCMP land crusier mountain park. cheers samo

Camping with dogs can be limiting. Almost all national parks prohibit them. We are always on the lookout for somewhere.

I like Inskip point, dogs are allowed, you can make it a bit more interesting by going via Cooloola way, or up Teewah beach and across to Rainbow via freshwater track. (You can take the dogs through the national park if you are commuting and the dogs never leave the car, I checked with the rangers up there for our last trip.) 2 one night stop overs... not really, but once you get there you won't want to leave. Take the fishing gear too.

Most of the 4wd parks allow dogs, as does NCBR (Neurum creek bush retreat) but thats more of a family destination... dodge the kids on bikes.

I have done a bit of bushwalking at MtBarney, Lamington Nat Park, Mt Warning and the Border Ranges, great area to explore. There must be some great camp spots out there.

Check out Flanagan's Reserve (google is your best option) or
Gordon Country http://www.gordoncountry.com.au/Home.html
Both sites are Dog friendly and within 300km's of Brisbane. If you're looking to 4WD I'd suggest Gordon Country.
